The YESHIVA started the game off red hot. Fasman opened up a 10 point lead on the LIONS, within the first few minutes of the 1st quarter. Fasmans fast pace offense and tenacious defense startled the LIONS into turnovers and mistakes. The LIONS soon recovered though and found some footing. Coach Mankoff of Scheck Hillel must have given his players some new direction in the locker room, because the LIONS came out in the second half playing better defensively as well as chipping away at the YESHIVA lead. The LIONS closed out the 3rd quarter only down by 8 and looked to have some momentum going into the 4th quarter. The score at the end of the 3rd was 36-28 Fasman’s lead.

In the 4th quarter, the LIONS continued to chip away at Fasman’s lead little by little. Everyone was on the edge of their seats as each transition took place. First it was Scheck cheering, then Fasman, then Scheck and then Fasman. With 2.3 seconds left in the game, the LIONS cut the fasman lead to just 3 points. With the stellar play of Fasman’s Ari Schuman and Coach Kalutsky’s scheme, the boys from Fasman YESHIVA held on to win the game with a final score of 48-45.
