In a Tier II Consolation matchup Sunday morning for 12th place, the Yeshivat Bnei Akiva Or Chaim Knights took on the Scheck Hillel Community Lions. The game started off pretty even, but Hillel managed to pull out a small lead. Guard Armando Abitbol kept the Knights close behind.

In the second quarter, guard Harry Mizraji dropped some baskets to give his Lions a comfortable lead. With both teams playing sloppy, however, the Lions could not pull away. At the end of the half, the score was 21-11, in favor of the Scheck Hillel Lions. Mizraji lead the Lions with seven points on the half, while Abitbol lead the Knights with eight points.

In the third quarter, the Lions continued to keep a comfortable double-digit lead, with solid play from forward Ben Zafrani and guard Alan Pinkhasov. Jacob Herman played well for the Knights, but they could not get any key stops.

In the fourth quarter, the Knights managed to put their deficit back into single digits, led by strong play from big men Yaakob Bendayan and Jacob Herman. In the closing minutes, the Lions turned it over a lot, and the Knights had plenty of chances to inch closer, but ultimately could not convert on offense. Ben Zafrani and Alan Pinkhasov both got some key buckets to give the Lions back a double-digit lead with just over a minute to play. The Knights could not recover, and the Lions emerged victorious, 47-35, claiming 11th place in the Tournament. Ben Zafrani and Alan Pinkhasov led the way for Hillel with 12 and 10 points, respectively, while Jacob Herman and Yaakob Bendayan led the Or Chaim Knights with 16 points and 9 points.
