The second game of the Cooper Invitational was between the #1 North Shore Hebrew Academy Stars and the #16 Denver Academy of Torah Wolves. The Wolves, making their first appearance at the Invitational, were hoping to make a big splash at the Invitational by knocking off the #1 seed. The tip went to the Wolves, who were hungry for a fast start. North Shore got off to a fast start, as they were looking to force turnovers and score it on the fast break. North Shore started the game on an 8-0 run. At the end of the 1st quarter, North Shore lead 15-1, and Cody Cohen lead all scorers with 6 points.

In the 2nd quarter, North Shore continued to run all over DAT, as the Wolves didn’t find their first field goal of the game until midway through the 2nd quarter. North Shore had great ball movement to go along with their fantastic defensive pressure. Through 2 quarters of play, North Shore led 31-4. The leading scorers in the 1st half were Cody Cohen of North Shore with 8 points, and Josh Hecht of North Shore with 6 points.

In the 3rd quarter, North Shore continued to move and share the ball as well as pounding the glass, and winning the rebound battle. The scoring effort was also very balanced, as many different players put up points for North Shore in the 3rd quarter. Through 3 quarters the leading scorers were Cody Cohen with 10 points for North Shore and Josh Hecht with 9 points. The score through 3 quarters of the game was 45-7. In the 4th quarter, the Wolves put something together as Shimmy Alter put up 2 3-pointers to make it 45-13. Alter continued his run as he put up a free-throw.

Although North Shore went scoreless in the 4th quarter, they went on to win 45-14. The leading scorers were Cody Cohen with 10 points for North Shore. For the Wolves, the leading scorer was Shimmy Alter with 7 points and 2 3-pointers.
