In this intense Tier 2 match-up, the #4 seed Fasman Yeshiva High School faced the #5 seed Yeshiva Atlanta High School Lions. The opening tip went to Atlanta, and after a quick pass into the post, Josh Weissman scored the first points of the game. Atlanta continued to use their power in the post to bring in another two points. Then Kobi Greenfield scored the first points for Fasman. After a few more possessions, a steal, and a three pointer, Fasman managed to go up by 5 by going on an 11 point run.

The second quarter started off with Fasman handling the ball. Atlanta, who hadn’t been able to score for most of the first quarter, knocked down a three early on in the second quarter courtesy of Myles Ratner. Fasman then got a fast-break layup and scored, but the second time around they were unable to complete it. Atlanta attempted an unusual off the backboard pass, but weren’t able to convert it into points. However, Atlanta managed to claw their way back in the game to be within three points. After a failed shot attempt, David Panbehchi of Atlanta managed to tip the ball in. With 34 seconds left, Kobi Greenfield drove to the basket and laid it in while getting fouled. He then made the free-throw to complete the 3 point play. By the end of the first half, the score was 17 to 15 in favor of Fasman Yeshiva.

Fasman started the second half with the ball with Shlomo Ashkenazy taking it up the court. Atlanta managed to score, but Dovy Klein from Fasman answered back with two layups of his own. Kobi Greenfield followed by snagging the ball from Atlanta and scoring a fast-break bucket. Fasman went on an 8-2 run, playing like they deserved to be seeded #4 in Tier 2. Elisha Rosenwasser adde more drained a triple. Atlanta struggled on offense in the third quarter and Fasman kept an eight point lead going into the fourth quarter.

As the fourth quarter got underway Atlanta threw away the ball and Fasman gained possession. No team was able to score in the first few minutes until Josh Weissmann of Atlanta drained a three. Then Ashkenazy drove to the basket and got a layup and a foul, but he missed the free-throw. Ashkenazy forced a steal and then Sam Golding of Fasman got a steal. Ashkenazy then got a second steal and received a fast-break layup. Myles Ratner answered back with a three to bring his team within seven. However, Fasman regained their 11 point lead with about one minute left to play. Atlanta tried to fight back by getting a steal and a basket, but the game was pretty much over. Fasman topped Yeshiva Atlanta with final score being 46 to 35. Kobi Greenfield led Fasman with 11 points and Atlanta was led by Myles Ratner with 20 points.
