Now in its third year, the Bracket Challenge asks people to guess who will win the 8 first round games, the 4 second round games and the 2 semi-final winners from Tier 1, the Tier 1 Champion, as well as which team will win the Tier 2 Championship. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 brackets submitted.

This year, over 350 Brackets were submitted, making it the largest Bracket Challenge ever. Like in the previous two years, there were no perfect brackets submitted. The winning bracket, named ‘Mr. Cher’s Argyle Sweaters’ took the honor as being the best bracket of the bunch. The bracket scored a total of 156 points out of 200. The bracket correctly picked all 8 first round games correctly, 2 of the 4 second round games, and 1 semi-finalist correctly. In addition, the bracket was the only one submitted which correctly predicted the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Champions.

Taking second place with 142 points was a bracket named ‘Effie’. It also predicted all first round games correctly. While it got 3 of the Final Four teams predicted correctly, it got the Tier 2 Champion incorrect.

Finally, third place went to a bracket named ‘Tigers 23’ with 136 points. It got 7 of the 8 first round games correct along with 3 of the 4 Final Four Teams. However, missing the Tier 2 Champion and 1 first round game caused it to fall to third place.
