The #5 seeded SAR Sting came out of the gate with a very aggressive beginning. Four minutes into the first quarter saw the Sting up by a score of 7-1. Although the #12 seed AHA Eagles got several offensive rebounds, they had trouble putting it into the basket while SAR continued to pour it on strong. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 19-3 in favor of the Sting.

In the beginning of the second quarter, SAR slowed things down and passed more, and the AHA Eagles countered by changing up the defense from a man to man to zone. When the defense the Eagles put out these still could not slow down the Sting, SAR got their bench players some prime game time and they still continued to score. At halftime, the Eagles still were having trouble finding the basket and found themselves in a 30-6 hole to the Sting.

The third quarter started out with the Eagles getting the ball first, and they came out with some more intensity than the first half. Their defense started to step up and slowed the Sting a little. Although the halftime adjustments had the Eagles outscoring the Sting in the third quarter, they still found themselves down 39-15 to the String.

The 4th quarter started with the Eagles stealing the ball from the Sting and hitting a quick 3 pointer. This started a 7-0 run for the Eagles before the Sting even scored. Although the Eagles matched up well with the bench of the Sting, the first half hole was too much for the Eagles to overcome and they fell by a score of 44-26 to the Sting. The Eagles were led by Omer Sananes with 9 points and the Sting were led by Josh Gurnin and Jacob Sternberg with 7 points each.
