The 5th Annual Cooper Yeshiva High School National Invitational, hosted by the Margolin Hebrew Academy/Feintsone Yeshiva of the South, is slated to tip-off Thursday, November 10, 2011, in Memphis, TN. Featuring 16 of the top Yeshiva High School teams from across North America, the event, culminating in “Championship Sunday” on November 13, 2011, will crown a National Champion and a Tier II Champion from one of the most competitive invitational fields in the country.

Metropolitan Yeshiva High School League powerhouses Frisch, MTA, Magen David, Northshore, and Hillel Deal, will join defending 2010 Cooper Invitational Champion YULA (Los Angeles, CA), and perennial National Top 25’ers Ida Crown (Chicago, IL), Ben Lipson Hillel (N. With returning Cooper Invitational participants, Beren Hebrew Academy (Houston, TX), Westchester Hebrew High School (Mamaroneck, NY), Gross Hebrew Academy (North Miami Beach) and the addition of new highly skilled squads in New Community Jewish High School (West Hills, CA) and Melvin J. Players, Coaches, and Chaperones stay as guests in the beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton in Memphis and enjoy fully catered meals during their stay. This year’s event will feature visits from a number of nationally recognized sports personalities who will speak with the players and participate in the event. Shabbat provides the opportunity to take a break from competition, join the Memphis Jewish community, and share in a wonderful Shabbaton, filled with engaging programming, interesting learning activities, camaraderie, and plenty of time for players to meet and develop friendships with one another.
