The hometown Cooper Macs took on the Denver Academy of Torah Wolves in a Tier II matchup on Saturday night. In the first quarter, the Macs got off to a rough start, and Denver got off to an early lead. The Macs, however, quickly regained their composure, with guard David Silbermann taking over offensively. Silberman finished with 10 points in the quarter, giving the Macs a 14-5 lead.

In the second quarter, both teams got off to shaky starts. Neither team played better than the other, with the score at the end of the half, 24-13 in favor of the hometown Macs. David Silberman finished with 14 points in the half for the Macs, while Jacob Wedgle finished with seven points in the half for the Wolves.

In the third quarter, both teams played sloppy ball. The Macs retained their lead, but could not pull away from the Wolves.

The fourth quarter was another quarter filled with sloppy play. The Macs just couldn’t get it done and allowed the young and inexperienced Wolves to stay in the game. Led by Aaron Brook’s 12 points and Jacob Wedgle’s 19, the Wolves put in effort, and played their best game of the tourney. This, however, would not be enough to get it done, as the Macs, led by David Silberman’s 16 points, went on to take the win, 46-35. Jacob Wedgle had 19 points in a losing effort for the Wolves.
