After losing on Friday to the Ida Crown Aces, the Frisch Cougars looked to bounce back strong coming into their game with Hillel Miami. Miami’s Joseph Ammar hit three three- pointers in first quarter, but Frisch kept fighting and led at the end of the first quarter 11-10. In the second quarter behind star shooter Joseph Ammar, the Hurricanes took back the lead, the score 21-20 going into halftime.

The Hurricanes came into the third quarter a little bit confused. With five minutes and thirty seconds left in the third, they had six men on the court at the same time. Fortunately for them, the refs didn’t call the technical. Unfortunately for them, Frisch went on a 7-0 run to take the lead. But Hillel rallied back behind point guard Natu Wainer with a 9-0 run to take the lead at the end of the third.

Hillel started the fourth quarter in a bad situation with forward Andy Elovic fouling out and point gaurd Natu Wainer getting injured. Even when Natu returned, Hillel did not rebound with Frisch going on an 8-0 run. Then the momentum changed with a costly turnover by Frisch which was converted into three points by Joseph Ammar. But Frisch did not let that stop them. They sealed it out in the final minutes of the game winning by a margin of 45-40 with Frisch on top. Joseph Ammar led the Hurricanes with 25 points and the Cougars were led by Michael Bouaziz with 12 points.
