10-26-2012 | Cinderella RASG Warriors send Frisch Cougars packing, 46-38, earn berth in Final Four

The first quarter was a tight battle between the RASG Warriors and the Frish Cougars. The Warriors got off to a great start by sinking shots left and right bringing the game to an 8 to 0 start. The Cougars, determined to show they were not going to go down without a fight, ended the first quarter on a high note, making the score at the end of the first quarter 13-8 in favor of the Warriors.

The second quarter was all about who wanted it more. The Warriors took another early leap, making the score 22- 11. After a few misses and ill-advised shots by the Cougars, the Warriors seemed to be getting an even better grip on the game. The first half ended with back and forth missed shots by both teams and the Warriors leading 27-16.

If you stepped away for a quick break and did not watch this quarter, you missed a huge come back by the Cougars. Their prayers were answered by not only having an unstoppable defense, but they showed an element of teamwork. They were not to be denied by Warriors and even took the lead by a score of 29-28 . The battle was just beginning, but the war would be hard fought in the fourth quarter.

With both teams in a fierce battle and only one team can emerge victorious, the Cinderella Warriors decided they were not ready to bow out of the dance on Friday. With the game being neck and neck through the last quarter, the Warriors hit their shots when they needed to and made the smart plays. The game ended with the Warriors winning 46-38 and they moved into the Final Four.The Cougars were led by Judah Cohen with 9 points and Isaac Schechter led the Warriors with 18 points.
